Student Success Stories
Hasan Iqbal – Emerson
Mechanical Engineering

“I had the opportunity to attend Comet Trek in the Fall of 2024 and visit Emerson in McKinney. As a Mechanical Engineering student in ECS undergrad, Emerson was one of the companies I wanted to apply for an internship/Co-Op.
“During the visit, I was able to introduce myself and connect with engineers working at Emerson directly, and ask a ton of questions about the company and roles offered. After applying for a Co-Op role, I was able to easily interview with the company because they already knew me from the visit, which resulted in getting hired for a Co-Op the following year!”
Hitesh Kodavatikanti – CBRE
Business Analytics & AI

“Attending the Comet Trek to the CBRE Richardson office was truly a transformative experience for me. Before the trek, I had very limited knowledge about what CBRE does and the commercial real estate industry as a whole. But this visit gave me valuable insight into the company’s operations, culture, and the broader industry landscape.
“During the session, we were introduced to the Digital & Technology Summer Internship program and were given a clear overview of the program structure and timeline. That experience sparked my interest and gave me the confidence to apply.
“I’m excited to share that I was shortlisted and later offered a position for the summer internship—and I truly believe that Comet Trek played a huge role in securing this opportunity. During my interview, I was able to speak about my experience during the trek, and it clearly demonstrated my interest and passion for both CBRE and the commercial real estate industry.”
